About Your Teacher

My name is Alfredo Rodriguez, I am currently a Full Time student at Florida International University, my major is focused on Special Education with ESOL Endorsement.

Born in Sagua La Grande, Cuba, my mother and I migrated to the United States in 2001. In 2014, I graduated from Miami Dade College with an Associates Degree in Art and Art Education. 

I currently work Part Time as a Teacher Assistant at a Level 5 Special School that deals with special needs children and teens. Easter Seals specializes in educating low and high functioning students that have disabilities ranging from a wide spectrum of autistic disorders to learning impairment. 

Some of my favorite hobbies are painting (when inspired), discovering music, thrift shopping, taking pictures, going for walks, enjoying nature and spending time with family and friends, I also love to take part in community events and volunteering, especially when it focuses on special needs and autism.
